Welcome to Platinum Home Comfort (“we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing our website, booking a service, or engaging with our company in any way, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms are designed to protect both you (the customer) and us (the service provider) by ensuring clear expectations and legally sound boundaries.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or request our services.
1. Services Provided
Platinum Home Comfort provides HVAC installation, repair, diagnostics, inspections, water heater/tankless services, gas fireplace services, IAQ/smart comfort products, and related mechanical work within our licensed scope.
All work is performed by a licensed technician or under proper certification as required in Ontario.
We reserve the right to refuse service for safety concerns, unlawful requests, unsafe equipment, or abusive behavior.
2. Quotes, Pricing & Payments
2.1 Quotes

All quotes are estimates unless clearly stated as a fixed price.

Pricing may change if additional issues are found during the job.
2.2 Diagnostic Fees

Diagnostic fees are required to assess equipment and are non-refundable, regardless of repair decisions.

Standard and emergency diagnostics may differ in price.
2.3 Payments
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Late or unpaid invoices may be sent to collections after reasonable attempts to resolve the matter.
3. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure safe and efficient service, customers agree to:

Ensure pets and children are safely away from work areas

Disclose known issues with equipment

Provide accurate service address and contact information

Obtain any required homeowner or landlord approvals
Failure to provide safe working conditions may result in service cancellation and a service fee.
4. Scheduling, Cancellations & Rescheduling
4.1 Appointments
Appointment times are approximate. Factors like emergencies, traffic, weather, or previous jobs may affect arrival windows.
4.2 Cancellations
We ask for reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Same-day cancellations may be subject to a fee if mobilization has already begun.
5. Warranty & Liability
5.1 Labour Warranty

Labour warranty length varies by service and will be stated at the time of work.

Warranty does not cover issues caused by misuse, neglect, homeowner-performed work, or pre-existing system problems.
5.2 Manufacturer Warranties

All equipment warranties are governed solely by the manufacturer.

We help guide the process but do not control approvals or timelines.
5.3 Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by law:

We are not liable for consequential damages (e.g., property damage due to equipment failure, loss of heat/hot water, frozen pipes, business losses).

We are not responsible for pre-existing code violations, unsafe installations done by others, or unforeseen failures of aging equipment.

Customer assumes responsibility for decisions to repair vs. replace equipment based on our recommendations.
6. Website Use & Content
All content on our website—including logos, images, written material, and branding—is owned by Platinum Home Comfort and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.
Unauthorized use may result in legal action.
7. Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate service information, pricing, and HVAC resources on our site, errors may occur.
We reserve the right to:
